The Slingshot monster
team has a new look for 2009. With new body and a new
paint design the truck now looks as loud as it sounds.

Shocked and Saddened
by sudden death of the "Voice of Truckfest".
Phil Easton, the man who for years has presented the
main arena at Truckfest events nationally, passed away
on Sunday 1st Feb 2009, after suffering a brain haemorrhage
at his home in Crosby. As well as being the main arena
host at Truckfest, Phil was also the stadium announcer
at Liverpool's Anfield Stadium and a presenter on Liverpool
radio station, Radio City. Phil was much liked by everyone
around him, and he will be dearly missed by all of us
at the Slingshot Team. Our thoughts are with his family
at this difficult time.

all the truckfests with swampthing, we would like to
thank all of our fans for their support, it was the
last time the paint job will be seen, as a new paint
job for 2009 will be coming soon keep checking
back for pics of new body

5th 2007
We are pleased to be able to add another Event
to our 2007 Schedule, we will be returning once again
to the fantastic Gelredome in Arnhem, Holland to take
part in the upcoming Monster Jam Events on September
29th and 30th .
We look forward to catching up with all our friends
and fans over there.

Wow what a fun filled
couple of weekends, first the UK Truck Show at Santa
Pod on July 14th and 15th, many thanks to Russ at Event
Developments for inviting us to take part we had an
excellent time and took the opportunity to take part
in the UK's first Monster Truck Drag Race, thanks also
to Santa Pod Raceway for allowing us to run on the hallowed
ground.Congratulations to Drew Thornton for his win
against us but did someone forget to tell him we weren't
doing the whole 1/4 mile!
Once again Colin
and Nick from the Custom Cart Company were in attendance
bringing along a second Slingshot Golf Cart to add to
the fun and with Tony Dixon from the Swamp Thing Monster
Truck also helping out for the weekend we think there
might be a green Golf Cart with teeth appearing sometime
soon!!!
After a short few
days we headed back to Santa Pod for the famous Bug
Jam a fantastic event despite all the rain and mud,
nothing was going to stop the Bug Jammers from having
fun and they braved the rain to see Monster Trucks appearing
for the first time at this historic event. Thanks to
Pete (former crew chief for lil devil) for leaving his
Vee Dub alone and lending a hand in the Live Action
Arena.

Slingshot MT is proud to announce our sponsorship deal
with The Custom Cart Company whohave now presented us
with our vey own modified Golf Cart , this is an amazing
bit of kit and is so much fun to drive around. We heard
a rumour that they are looking into road legal Carts
- can you imagine turning up at work in one of these!

16th and 17th 2007
Parham Park in West Sussex , the Countryman Fair was
held at a great venue and we had a fun filled weekend
especially on Sunday when Karl rolled Slingshot whilst
walking across the car stack in an awesome wheelie,
The Sun newspaper was on hand to catch the action and
Slingshot featured in the June 19th edition. We look
forward to returning to this Event in 2008.

9th 2007
Slingshot became the first UK Monster Truck to appear
in Sweden at the Gothenburg Monster Jam Event, with
two Shows on one day we were very pleased that the weather
was warm and sunny. TV cameras were in attendance to
catch all the action and a fantastic time was had by
all.
April
12th 2007
We are pleased to announce that we will be joined again
by Swamp Thing at Santa Pod Raceway at the FIA European
Finals in September and the Flame and Thunder Show in
November.
April 10th 2007 Making Slingshot's second appearance of the year
at Santa Pod Raceway's Easter Thunderball we found ourselves
in the fantastic all new Live Action Arena and for this
show we brought along a friend - Swamp Thing!
Once again the weather was with us and we enjoyed the
early spring sunshine as the familiar smells of Methanol,
Rubber and Oil filled the air. Doing two shows
on each of the three days was fantastic fun and the
rivalry between Karl and Tony increased as the weekend
went on as to who could make the best jump, the fastest
donut and the most mess! The crowd got involved
with this competition and over the 6 shows, the 2 trucks
came out even.
This
was the first event since we fitted our new Hooker Harness
seatbelts in Slingshot and we were so impressed with
how well they work, Karl has never felt so secure in
the seat as with these awesome ratchet belts they really
gave him the confidence to go out there and hit the
cars hard!
A
special mention needs to go to Monster Jam's first European
Tech Official and our very good friend Ronny Vranken
who came over all the way from Belgium just to see us
on Saturday. Thanks go to Terry Grant and the
guys from UKFMX for being so great to work with in the
Live Action Arena.
We
also managed to get to see some of the action on the
Strip between shows and it was definitely worth it.
We
made some great new friends over the weekend and we
look forward to our next appearance at "The Main Event".

February
16th 2007 Slingshot made its first appearance of the 2007
season at Santa Pod Raceway's first ever Stunt Night.
Several thousands braved the cold February night air
to come see Slingshot destroying cars and caravans as
well as all the other awesome acts there for the show,
with two performances from Slingshot the crowds went
home buzzing with excitement. Thanks to everyone
at Santa Pod for all their help and thank you to Glenn
and Mandy from UK Event Safety for their ongoing support.
