Slingshot Monster Truck Racing

Slingshot MT Racing Limited is owned and run by Karl and Jenny Swallow with a lot of help and support from our family. We started our Monster Truck adventures in 2003 when we made the decision to make the dream a reality and move forwards from Street Legal Monster Trucks to the real deal. Having been involved with customized Pick-ups for over 15 years and having been to countless shows the emergence of Monster Trucks in the UK gave us the opportunity to make the huge

step to build our own Monster Truck and so with our first appearance at the Pro-MT Race Event at Hop Farm in Kent in July 2004 we started the whirlwind ride to where we are now.

We started out running a petrol powered engine which everyone said would never be able to compete against the Blown Methanol Engines everyone else was running, we feel that by achieving 3^rd place in the 2005 European Monster Truck Racing Championship we proved a lot of people wrong but we also wanted to compete on a level playing field and so we upgraded our equipment to the New Slingshot with the major changes being a Blown Methanol Engine producing an estimated 1800 bhp and changing the experimental JCB (International) axles for the tried and tested F-106 Centers and Clark Planeteries that so many Monster Trucks run, we also took some great advice and changed from a turbo 400 transmission to a Coan 2-speed .

We appeared in our first Monster Jam Event in 2005 when we performed in front of 30000 spectators at the Geldredome in Arnhem Holland we returned to Monster Jam in 2007 and as well as 3 shows in Arnhem we also added 3 shows at the Stade de Bercy in Paris to our International adventures.
